Road’s end By Jess

So that was crash 3451, here we go again, I’m so very, very tired – when will this end? Enough already, I’ve said I’m sorry, whatever my sin was it doesn’t deserve this hell on Earth!

Right on time, here he comes the man has pale, chalky skin and tired eyes. I wonder if he is aware of this punishment we are forever receiving as well?

As we turn round the corner I check the time sliding my jacket away from my wrists and I look up. We make awkward eye-contact and he sees what is about to become of us in my goggles- he lets out a horrible scream. We burst through the fence and we’re falling, pain like daggers and I crash through the glass.

I look down at the car from the cliff admiring the rubble and sweeping a fragment of glass off my shoulder. Ah, here he comes again.

Maybe, just maybe this will be the road’s end.

Roads End Part Two by Ryan R

The air was thick with tension, as the man checked his watch, I looked at the stranger thinking something was going to happen. I started asking him questions.

“Were you in that car that crashed?”

“Was anyone else in the car with you?”

“Do you have any wounds or injuries?”

He didn’t respond to any of my questions as we drove up the winding road. I investigated his bronze goggles and saw my truck crash off the edge of the cliff. I was horrified and stunned. I was not paying attention to the road as the wheel bashed against the cliffside.

Then the truck went flying over the edge, and my life flashed before my eyes before they closed…

My eyes slid open. I was where I was before I picked up the man in the trench coat and bronze goggles.

Intrigued, I couldn’t believe my eyes as I saw the very same man standing by the side of the road, next to my crashed truck.
